Our First Aid for Mental Health course is for you if:

  • You're looking to support the mental health and wellbeing of your community.
  • You want to build a positive culture and reduce stigma.
  • You want a course that's designed  specifically with school staff in mind.

Why First Aid for Mental Health?

If you're reading this, you likely know the benefits of having first aiders for mental health:

  • Increased awareness of the impact of mental health on our lives.
  • Improved knowledge of a wide range of mental health conditions.
  • A wider range of skills and information to enable you to confidently support colleagues.
  • A signal to your community that we all have mental health and all need support from time to time.

Although not yet a statutory requirement (as physical first aiders are), it is recommended good practice to also have mental health first aiders.

Why this course?

There are lots of First Aid courses out there, but we're very proud that ours is Ofqual regulated and results in a Level 2 qualification. Our course is not a generic industry course, either. We have tailored it to suit an educational context and through our 35+ years in teaching, have a thorough understanding of the challenges that staff face working in schools.
